After many years ageing in the unique and ancient Crayères acquired by its founder Charles Heidsieck, Brut Millésime reveals itself as a champagne poised between elegance and complexity, with a smooth texture and great length on the palate. Extended ageing on the lees has unlocked the full potential of their aromas. Each vintage has its own signature, its own generous tone.

Weather: A year that proved satisfactory for many winemakers, both in quality and quantity. Following a cold, rainy spring, the return of the sun and warmer temperatures fostered good growth of the vines. The harvest in early October offered up bunches of shimmering golden Chardonnay grapes.

This champagne is part of Charles Heidsieck Collection Crayeres, a second late release of vintages direct from their cellars in Reims in October 2018. The releases are very limited quantities and a perfect chance to buy and enjoy champagne with age in its very best condition. Only 240 bottles released.

Vineyards: 100% Grand & Premier Cru
Grape Varieties: 65% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay
Drink: Now to 2025+

Tasting Note: A warm yellow with slight coppery glints. Toasted and smoke tones, underlined by earthy notes. Giving time to breathe, aromas of candied bergamot and toasted peanuts are released with lighter undertones eminiscent of jasmine and orange blossom.
