Description & Technical Information
-
After many years ageing in the unique and ancient Crayères acquired by its founder Charles Heidsieck, Brut Millésime reveals itself as a champagne poised between elegance and complexity, with a smooth texture and great length on the palate. Extended ageing on the lees has unlocked the full potential of their aromas. Each vintage has its own signature, its own generous tone.

Mis En Cave is a concept whereby the Champagne is 'laid in cellar' in the spring after the harvest. Charles Heidsieck have released several bottles Mis En Cave 1987, 1990, 1995, 2000 and 2001. Each of these bottles contains the non-vintage wine with the base vintage of the year before. Mis En Cave 1987 contains the base vintage of 1986 and is labelled as a non-vintage.

This champagne is part of Charles Heidsieck Collection Crayeres, a second late release of vintages direct from their cellars in Reims in November 2020. The releases are very limited quantities and a perfect chance to buy and enjoy champagne with age in its very best condition. This fourth edition honours five of the oldest vintage and non-vintage Bruts and showcases their exceptional capacity for withstanding time, their incredible aromatic opulence capacity and their structure after several decades of cellaring.
