English Sparkling Mixed Case
Ridgeview Rose de Noirs 2016 - £50.00
Ridgeview were one of the first wineries in England to focus solely on the production of sparkling wines from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grape varieties. This wine was produced by the Saignée method, which means to ‘bleed’. The colour is extracted pre-pressing by leaving the grapes on their skins for a limited period. Fermented in stainless steel tanks before secondary bottle fermentation. Aged for a minimum of 36 months on lees, in purposed built underground cellars before release. 80% Pinot Noir, 20% Meunier.
Gusbourne Blanc de Blancs 2018 - £58.00
Gusbourne is situated on a low altitude, south facing coastal escarpment and as recently as the 17th Century, Gusbourne Estate was situated on the shores of the ancient Kentish coastline. The Gusbourne Estate consists of 60 Hectares in Kent and 30 Hectares in West Sussex. There is a zesty acidity and creamy texture, which makes way for notes of toasted nuts and brioche, from extended lees ageing, leading to a long and mineral-driven finish.
Wiston Estate Blanc de Noir 2014 - £56.00
The fruit from the 2014 harvest was of exceptional quality and the resulting wine has evolved into an excellent example of Blanc de Noir, abundant with complex character and intensity of flavour. 66% Pinot Noir & 34% Meunier.
Ridgeview Oak Reserve Blanc de Blancs NV - 75.00
Some of the very best Chardonnay grapes were hand selected from Ridgeview's original home vineyard in Ditchling planted in 1995. The parcels across three vintages were aged in a selection of new and old toasted French Oak Barrels. The wine was carefully blended to create a beautifully structured base wine, then enhanced by the secondary fermentation and lees aging in their underground cellars. Front and back labels printed on laminated natural cherry wood. 100% single estate Chardonnay from Ridgeview's original vineyard.
Ridgeview Blanc de Blancs 2009 in Magnum - 148.00
Pale gold. Crème pâtissière nose. Broad and rich on the palate. Dry finish – thanks to some oak influence? Some evolution and very solid performance even if not the most delicate. Absolutely ready. - Tasted by Jancis Robinson MW
