Laurent-Perrier Grand Siecle Iteration No 24 Limited Edition Sun Robe MV - No Gift Box
Bottles Available: 1 × 75cl
Founded in 1812, Champagne Laurent-Perrier remained a modest producer until Bernard de Nonancourt transformed it into one of the world's most celebrated Champagne Houses. A towering figure in 20th-century Champagne, he became CEO in 1948 after a three-year apprenticeship at Delamotte and Lanson. Over his remarkable 62-year tenure, production expanded from 80,000 to more than eight million bottles.

De Nonancourt was a visionary innovator: Laurent-Perrier was the first House to adopt stainless-steel vats, to create a zero-dosage champagne (Ultra Brut), and to pioneer a multi-vintage prestige cuvée (Grand Siècle). Following his passing in 2010, the House has remained family-led under his daughters, Alexandra Pereyre and Stéphanie Meneux de Nonancourt, who appointed Stéphane Dalyac as CEO in 2014. In 2019, Alexandra's eldest daughter, Lucie Pereyre de Nonancourt, joined the business to represent Grand Siècle around the world.

Today, Laurent-Perrier stands among Champagne's largest producers and is best known for its iconic Cuvée Rosé — the most recognised rosé champagne in the world. The House's distinctive style is defined by freshness, purity, and precision, with a light reductive twist and elegant character its wines age with exceptional grace.

The name Grande Siècle was the name given to the century of the Sun-King, Louis XIV, symbol of the pinnacle of the art of hospitality à la française. A striking new addition, now not only does the champagne dazzle, but so does that bottle and we dont expect these limited editions to be available for long.

The idea of Grand Siècle was born from a simple observation: that nature would never provide the perfect oenological year, but that thanks to the art of assemblage, Laurent-Perrier could in fact create it. Always a blend of three exceptional vintages that perfectly complement each other, Grand Siècle was launched in 1959 as a blend of 1952, 1953 and 1955. One year is chosen for structure, one for finesse and one for freshness, creating a unique combination of power and balance from wines of the very best vintages. The grape juice is fermented in 100% stainless-steel tanks as Laurent-Perrier very much believe in keeping the juice away from oxygen and protecting those floral aromatics. Iteration is blended from 11 Grands Crus. From June 2019, L-P introduced 'Iterations' to identify the blend of Grand Siécle. This is the 24th time the house has created a blend of Grand Siécle.

The current release is a blend of 2007 (60%), 2006 (20%), 2004 (20%).

Weather: 2007: A year defined by its tumultuous climate and one of the earliest harvests (20th August) alongside 2003, 1947 and 1893. Direct, floral and citrus notes. Freshness and salinity best characterise this vintage.
2006: was an abundant harvest (7th September), Chardonnays were rich and complex with great balance, Pinot Noirs were rich with notes of red fruit, structure and power.
2004: a fortuitous harvest (18th September in the Marne, 2nd October in the Aisne) providing both quality and quantity, the Chardonnays showed great aromatic potential and balance. Pinot Noirs were of the highest quality.

Technical Information:
Vineyards: 100% Grand Cru | Chardonnay: Avize, Chouilly, Cramant, Oger, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger | Pinot Noir: Ambonnay, Bouzy, Louvois, Mailly, Tours-sur-Marne, Verzenay
Grape Varieties: 55% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir
Ageing: 10 years on the lees
Dosage: 7 g/l
Disgorged: October 2018
Drink: Now to 2026

Tasting Note: A very pales gold colour with a persistent sparkle and steady stream of bubbles. Fresh, intense and complex with notes of slightly candied citrus fruits, secondary aromas of pastries, toasted almonds and subtle hints of honey and gingerbread. A fresh and delicate attack with an impression of fullness, the finish is persistent displaying Grand Siècle’s perfect balance between strength and delicacy
Although originally founded in 1812, the name Champagne Laurent-Perrier was not conceived until 1964. After changing hands through several deaths and marriages, it was Bernard de Nonancourt who initiated Laurent-Perrier's rise to world fame. One of Champagne's most important figures in the 20th century, he officially took over in 1948 after a three-year apprenticeship at the Houses of Delamotte and Lanson. In his 62-year tenure, production grew from just 80,000 bottles annually to over eight million. Under de Nonancourt, Laurent-Perrier were the first House to use stainless-steel vats and the first House to create both a zero dosage champagne (Ultra Brut) and a non-vintage prestige cuvée (Grand Siècle).

Sadly, de Nonancourt passed away in 2010 and Laurent-Perrier is now managed by his two daughters, Alexandra and Stéphanie. Since 2020 Alexandra's daughter, Lucie Pereyre de Nonancourt has taken on the global role of Brand Ambassador for Grand Siècle. The production style is elegant, Chardonnay-driven, pure and fruit-forward and current Cellar Master Michel Fauconnet believes strictly in minimising oxidation. Indeed, Laurent-Perrier are one of the most reductive in style, serving to enhance their fruity expression and smoky complexity. Now one of the region's largest producers, they are perhaps best known for Cuvée Rosé, the most recognised rosé champagne on the planet.

Cellar Master: Olivier Vigneron
Winery Location: Tours-sur-Marne | Champagne, France
Champagne Region: Vallée de la Marne
Annual Production (bottles): 7,500,000

Chef de Cave History at Champagne Laurent-Perrier:

Olivier Vigneron 2025 - Current | He hails from a farming family in the Marne region, but didn’t discover the world of winemaking until he was a student, when he took part in a grape harvest. He specialised the sector with a degree in biochemistry from the University of Reims and earned a National Diploma in Oenology. He then joined the Despagne vineyard in Bordeaux, where he gained experience in winemaking and team management. In 2000, he met Alain Terrier, then cellar master at Laurent-Perrier, who hired him as assistant at De Castellane. Four years later, in 2004, he joined Laurent-Perrier's newly appointed Cellar Master Michel Fauconnet.

Michel Fauconnet 2004 - retired in 2025 | Joined Laurent-Perrier in 1973, became the 3rd Cellar Master of the House, after respectively Edouard Leclerc in 1950 and Alain Terrier in 1983. Michel held all the production positions: cellar worker, supervisor, then Circle Manager. From 2004 he has been Cellar Master and Production Director. Never short of innovation, during his time he oversaw the introduction in 2018 of LP Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature NV and in 2024 LP Heritage Brut NV, a richly textured wine from all reserve wines. Michel Fauconnet also managed the winemaking of Champagne Delamotte, Champagne Salon and Champagne De Castellane. In 2014 he also joined the Laurent-Perrier Management Board. After more than 50 years at the Maison, Michel Fauconnet has officially retired, handing over the reins to his long-standing assistant Olivier Vigneron. The champagnes made during Michel's time as Cellar Master stand testament to his winemaking genius, producing wines without any oxidation and with textural richness and fruit intensity. We will enjoy drinking his champagnes for at least another decade!

Alain Terrier - 1983 - 2004 | Perfected the art of blending, faithful to the quest for excellence. He selects grapes from the best areas of the Champagne vineyards, vinifies each batch separately and monitors the blends with high standards. This plot vinification becomes a signature of the House.

Edouard Leclerc 1950 - 1984 | These were early days for Laurent-Perrier and Edouard would have been working very closely with De Nonancourt, one of their great partnerships was Grand Siècle. Bernard observed that nature would never provide the perfect oenological year though the art of assemblage, LP could in fact create it. A blend of three exceptional vintages, Grand Siècle was launched in 1959 as a blend of 1952, 1953 and 1955. Their next great venture was Cuvee Rose, created in 1968, carefully selected Pinot Noir plots are sorted and destemmed before a period of maceration. By the time he retired from his role in 1983 Laurent-Perrier had introduced winemaking technology to enhance all the blends creating fruit forward styles in the lightly reductive style.

Jancis Robinson MW
“Bottle. The 24th iteration of Grand Siècle since the 1960s, now signalled with a ‘24’ on the bottle neck. 60% 2007, 20% 2006, 20% 2004, launched now. Mostly Chardonnay (55%) and Pinot Noir (45%), all grand cru. Disgorged October 2018 after 10 years on lees. Dosage 7 g/l.
Deep greenish yellow. Creamy, oaked Chardonnay sort of nose recalls white burgundy. Much richer than the Blanc de Blancs of course but with the same tight texture and filigree mousse. Firm and noble.”

“Laurent-Perrier's NV Grande Cuvée Grand Siècle No. 24 is just starting to show the first signs of aromatic and flavor complexity, which makes it a very satisfying Champagne for current drinking. Hints of apricot, lemon confit, white flowers and marzipan grace this wonderfully vibrant, inviting edition of Grand Siècle built on the 2007, 2006 and 2004 vintages. The Grande Cuvée No. 24 is silky, perfumed and classy all the way. Time in the glass brings out the wine's freshness and energy.”

“Glass clear and sublime, with a classic Grand Siècle repertoire of aromas and textures. Despite the fact that 2007 is a less interesting year, one has got a fantastic genuine balance and sober style.”

William Kelley
“A blend of the 2007, 2006 and 2004 vintages, beginning to drink well, offering up a complex and already maturing bouquet of dried flowers, mandarin orange, iodine, gingerbread, clear honey and smoke. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and vibrant, with an ample core of fruit complemented by abundant sapid nuances, bright acids and a fine but youthfully frothy mousse. This is an expressive rendition of Grand Siècle that will drink well on release”
