16+/20
“All tank-fermented Chardonnay aged for 6.5 years on cork after bottling in April 2013. Disgorged August 2019. Dosage 3.5 g/l. Champagne Vazart-Coquart produce only single-cru champagnes from their 11-hectare estate in Champagne's largest grand cru village. For an explanation of Spécial Club, see Champagne's young ones strut their stuff. Unusually broad flask bottle.
Greenish gold. Sweet vanilla notes on the nose with a hint of heady lilies. Quite aggressive froth and something a little sour and astringent on the end after some unintegrated sweetness. Still unintegrated and a little brutal impact on the palate. Very youthful, which may be a reflection of the vintage's concentration. Quite pungent.”
