How do I start selling?
You need a TFB account with eligible stock in your cellar account. Before you can list stock on the Exchange, you will be asked to accept the current TFB Exchange terms.
How buying and selling works on the TFB Exchange.
You need a TFB account with eligible stock in your cellar account. Before you can list stock on the Exchange, you will be asked to accept the current TFB Exchange terms.
You can list eligible cases that are available in your TFB cellar account, whether they are In Bond or already Duty & Taxes Paid. When you create a listing, those cases are made available on the Exchange. They will continue to accrue storage fees until they are sold and moved to the buyer's cellar account.
Each listing can have one or more price tiers. This lets you set different prices depending on how many cases someone buys, for example one case at one price and several cases at another. You can add Buy Now prices, minimum bid prices, or both.
A Buy Now price is the price per case a buyer can accept straight away. If the buyer confirms the purchase and payment is successful, the sale can complete without you needing to accept a separate bid.
If your listing accepts bids, buyers can make an offer at or above the minimum bid price shown for their selected quantity. You can review incoming bids in My listings and accept or decline them.
Once a sale has completed and the buyer's payment has been received, the stock is moved from your cellar account to the buyer's TFB cellar account. The net proceeds are then credited to your TFB account.
TFB deducts commission from completed Exchange sales before the seller proceeds are credited. The current standard commission is 8%.
Log in to your TFB account, accept the current TFB Exchange terms, and add a payment card in Payment methods. A saved Exchange payment method is required before you can place a bid or use Buy Now.
Choose the number of cases you want from an available listing. The page will use the Buy Now price tier for that quantity. When you confirm, payment is taken using your saved Exchange payment method.
Choose the number of cases you want and enter your bid price per case. Your bid must meet the minimum bid price for that quantity. You can follow the status of your bid in My bids.
For Buy Now, payment is taken when you confirm the purchase. For bids, payment is taken from your saved Exchange payment method if the seller accepts your bid. If a card payment cannot be completed, you may be asked to retry the payment or pay by bank transfer using the reference provided.
Once payment has been received, the purchased stock is moved into your TFB cellar account. You can then manage it in the same way as your other cellar stock.
Some listings allow partial purchases and some must be bought as a whole listing. The available quantity, minimum purchase quantity and price tiers are shown on each product page before you bid or buy.
