Champagne to Celebrate a 10th Anniversary – Vintage 2016

With a lot of champagne houses releasing 2016 vintages, we couldn’t leave it out. Plus, if you’re having a 10th anniversary or attending someone else’s… you have to drink something, right?! A bottle of vintage 2016 is also a must-have if you’re celebrating a decade of marriage this year. Although most releases have only occurred in the last year or two, 2016 is shaping nicely as a vintage. The 2016 vintage has Fruit-forward, lush wines with vibrant acidity.

Palmer & Co Grands Blanc de Blancs All Vintage 2016
Palmer Blanc de Blancs is created from Chardonnay grapes sources mainly from the magnificent terroirs of Villers-Marmery and Trépail. The fruits from these two terriors are blended with Chardonnay from Côte de Sézanne. Although not stated on the label, each Palmer Blanc de Blancs NV released is entirely a vintage with no reserve wines.

Taittinger Brut Vintage 2016
Brut Vintage is always a blend of juice exclusively from the first pressing of the grapes and is aged for four years in the cellars, allowing the aromas to mature slowly and the length and complexity of the wine to develop. It consists of Chardonnay from Grand Crus of the Côte des Blancs and Pinot Noir from Grand Crus of the Montagne de Reims and the Vallée de la Marne.

Bollinger B16 Extra Brut 2016
Minimal agricultural inputs, controlled yields, precise management of the grape’s maturity throughout the course of harvesting – that the Champagne House constantly benefits from undeniably high-quality grapes, no matter how difficult certain years can be. This blend is all from the 2016 harvest, a product of a cold, rainy spring followed by a hot, sunny summer.

Louis Roederer Cristal 2016
Today Cristal is, widely recognised as the world’s most awarded prestige cuvée champagne. 2016 is the fifth vintage of Cristal to be created from 100% bio-dynamically farmed grapes.

Bollinger Vieilles Vignes Francaises 2016
Chaudes Terres and Clos St-Jacques. Both plots are incredibly small: a total size of 0.36 hectares and are the sole contributors to Bollinger Vieilles Vignes Françaises. The Chaudes Terres and Clos St-Jacques vineyards are grown the traditional way following the provignage method (layering) working the plot by hand and sometimes with the help of a cart-horse. Bollinger Vieilles Vignes Françaises has only been created as an individual cuvée since 1970 and is a symbol of a bygone era: a reminiscent, extraordinary and moving legacy.

Champagne to Celebrate a 20th Anniversary – Vintage 2006

Reaching the end of your teens is a milestone worthy of celebration and champagne from 2006 is a tipple worth celebrating with. The year’s greatest wines are supple and expressive and despite the richness they escape being overly heavy. Overt and welcoming upon launch, the best come with excellent capacity for ageing.

Pierre Gimonnet et Fils Millesime de Collection Vieilles Vignes de Chardonnay 2006 Magnum
The Millesime de Collection 2006 is the vintage blend from Pierre Gimmonet, a Blanc de Blancs from three Côte des Blancs villages, Cramant, Chouilly and Cuis. Much of the fruit is from very old vines, most of the Cramant vineyards were planted in 1911 and 1913 and Chouilly’s renowned vineyard of Montaigu was planted in 1951. This special blend is only available in magnums with just 3713 made.

Charles Heidsieck Blanc des Millenaires Blanc de Blancs 2006
Charles Heidsieck’s prestige cuvée is a blend of pure Chardonnay from just five different Crus: Avize, Cramant, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger, and Vertus. An absolute masterpiece from the Côte des Blancs, this cuvée spends more than fifteen years maturing in the heart of Charles Heidsieck’s two-thousand-year-old chalk cellars.

Philipponnat Clos des Goisses Extra-Brut 2006
The jewel in the Champagne Philipponnat crown is a tiny 5.5-hecatre single walled vineyard called Clos des Goisses. Clos des Goisses is truly iconic: situated by the Marne canal, it is a steep-sloping, south-facing vineyard with an inclination of 35-45 degrees that can only be fully appreciated by visiting. Gois, means a very steep slope. Due to its size, production is limited to a maximum of 55,000 bottles each year.

Laurent-Perrier Vintage Reserve Recently Disgorged 2006 Magnum
Laurent-Perrier make vintages very rarely, only selecting the very best years. This makes their Brut Millésimé a rare and outstanding champagne that expresses clearly the specific character of each vintage in the Laurent-Perrier style. This 2006 recently disgorged is part of a trio released in Autumn 2025, also along with 2004 and 2002 all with at least 18 years on lees. This longer time on lees gives them amazing texture and relatively youthful fruit expression and are just a delight to drink.

Louis Roederer Cristal 2006
Only 10,000 bottles of Late Release 2006 have been produced. This is the first late release Cristal that is also disgorged at a later stage than the first or original release. Previous vintages 2002 and 2005 were original disgorgements and kept in the cellars in Reims to age longer post disgorgement before release.

Dom Perignon P2 2006
With similar weather characteristics as the now-legendary 2002, the 2006 vintage was overall very hot and dry. The second stage (P2) takes roughly 15 years, during which time the cuvée takes a profound leap to a new quality level where it will plateau for many years in terms of improvement.

Champagne to Celebrate a 30th Anniversary – Vintage 1996

This remarkable harvest year was marked by alternating warm and cool spells. Strong winds from the north were responsible for dehydration of the berries, which led to extraordinary concentration, and cool September nights kept the acidity high. A year like no other, 1996 in Champagne married the highest levels of sugar and acidity in living memory; the resulting wines are extraordinary in their concentration, yet perfectly poised in terms of structural definition. The year 1996 is to become a year that will go down in Champagne’s history books.

Palmer & Co Blanc de Blancs 1996
Palmer Blanc de Blancs is created from Chardonnay grapes sources mainly from the magnificent terroirs of Villers-Marmery and Trépail. The bottles, magnums, and larger formats, are stored upside down in our cellars for twenty years or more. The very long ageing process gives an intense and complex character to these great wines while at the same time ensuring that they remain remarkably fresh to the palate.

Charles Heidsieck La collection Crayeres 1996
This champagne is part of Charles Heidsieck Collection Crayeres, a second late release of vintages direct from their cellars in Reims in December 2017. The releases are very limited quantities and a perfect chance to buy and enjoy champagne with age in its very best condition.

Louis Roederer Late Release Rose 1996
A rosé created by a long, gentle infusion of Pinot noir that extracts its juicy ripeness while preserving its tremendous saline freshness. In this process, some Chardonnay juices are added to the Pinot noir maceration, to ferment together and achieve the perfect integration of the two grape varieties.

Charles Heidsieck Blanc des Millenaires Blanc de Blancs 1996
Charles Heidsieck’s prestige cuvée is a blend of pure Chardonnay from just five different Crus: Avize, Cramant, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Oger and Vertus. An absolute masterpiece from the Côte des Blancs, this cuvée spends more than fifteen years maturing in the heart of Charles Heidsieck’s two-thousand-year-old chalk cellars. The 1996 vintage marks the ninth release of this remarkable cuvée. With 2014 also released in 2024, it is the first time that the Maison unveils two Blanc des Millénaires in a single year.

Krug Clos d’Ambonnay 1996
Clos d’Ambonnay is an extremely rare and exclusive champagne produced only in the very best vintages. Just 3000 bottles of Clos d’Ambonnay were produced in 1996, each individually numbered.

Celebrate a 50th Anniversary – Vintage 1976

1976 Champagnes are defying time. The style is unashamedly ripe, big and even fatty with plush fruitiness. By no means ‘classic’ in style but nevertheless great and a forefather to the warm vintages we are experiencing now.

Palmer & Co Collection Vintage 1976
Champagnes from this vintage are rich, vinous and soft with heaps of character without overbearing strength.  Stored upside down in our cellars for twenty years or more. The very long ageing process gives an intense and complex character to these great wines while at the same time ensuring that they remain remarkably fresh to the palate.

Lanson Vintage Collection 1976 Magnum
A small number of bottles that date back to 1976 are proposed to a restricted circle of connoisseurs each year.

Bollinger R.D. 1976 Magnum
An acronym for Recently Disgorged, Bollinger R.D. is the result of Madame Bollinger’s great vision: an expert wine with aromas enhanced by its exceptionally long maturation in the Bollinger family cellars – more than three times longer than required.
