Wednesday 20th September 2017 – Once again we filled the room with champagne lovers all keen to learn and taste the wide range of Champagne on show. On the 12 different tables we had vintages ranging from Charles Heidsieck Blanc de Millenaires 1995 to Louis Roederer Blanc de Blancs 2010. We also had two trophy winners from the Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships 2017; Louis Roederer Brut Premier NV – World Champion NV Brut Blend and also Piper Heidsieck 2008 that took the World Champion Vintaged Brut Blend award.
A whopping 38 Champagnes were on show and congratulations if you managed to get round to them all, to our knowledge only Essi Avellan MW managed it. Essi was at the tasting presenting her new book Champagne: A Guide for Champagne Lovers and Gourmet Travellers, which if you have not read, is definitely worth buying a copy.
We hope you had a very interesting evening and found some new favourites! If you cannot wait to do it all again, or have not been before and would like to join us on these evenings then tickets are available for November 8th here.
