The CSWWC 2018 Awards Ceremony at Merchant Taylors’ Hall last night was a triumphant celebration of the best sparkling wine the world has to offer. Champagne once again proved its dominance, picking up 5 of the 7 World Champion trophies.
Yesterday, Krug launched their new Vintage 2004 in London. This latest release completes a special trilogy of Krug Vintages – 2002, 2003 & 2004 – not seen since the late 80s. We tasted it with Olivier Krug today.
Dom Pérignon launched their new Brut Vintage 2009 last month before 2008 – the first time in history they have skipped a vintage. We tasted it alongside 2003 and 2006 with head winemaker Richard Geoffroy, who described it as “majestic and persistent”.
