17.5+/20
“In 2010, eight barrels in juice. All on the Puligny side. Rich, marzipan aromas – very much blowing out its chest and then beating it. Quite an exhibitionist! But why not? Lots of bombast and pleasure here. Certainly a successful Bâtard. Maybe not transports of delight or finesse but very solid effort.”

“Jadot’s 2010 Batard-Montrachet, from the Puligny side, boasts stunning minerality. Intense notes of crushed rocks and slate caress the palate. The Batard is all nuance and class. There is a level of pure delineation and crystalline definition here that is simply striking. Today the aromas and flavors are quite bright, but the wine should fill out nicely and take on richer tones as it ages. Over the time I followed it, the Batard opened up beautifully.”

“Bright, pale green-yellow. High-pitched aromas of lemon oil, white pepper, wild herbs and crushed rock. Intensely flavored and suave, with a silky texture and a light touch to its lemon, stone and wild herb flavors. Wonderfully fine-grained Batard from the Puligny side of the cru.”
