95/100
“Very opulent white with pure apple, mango and lemon-pie character. Some toffee undertones. Full-bodied with depth and intensity on the palate, creamy texture and a frame of acidity. Lots of flavor with a nice, wood and vanilla complement to the fruit at the end. Drink or hold.”
90 → 92/100
“Revealing aromas of pear, peach, pastry cream and white flowers, it's medium to full-bodied and richly layered but lively, concluding with a nicely defined finish.”
89 → 91/100
“The 2018 Meursault Charmes 1er Cru, Jadot’s second vintage from this vineyard, offers an intense bouquet of jasmine, dried honey and grilled walnut scents that seem well defined, if not quite as precise as some of the vineyard’s other exponents. The palate is fresh and well defined on the entry, with a slightly honeyed texture, a faint tang of marmalade and quince and a lightly spiced, quite persistent finish that feels satisfying, even if not as tensile as the Meursault-Blagny by direct comparison. Fine. ”
16.5/20
“Fairly restrained on the nose – pithy, chalky and lightly spicy. Juicy, powerful stone fruits on the palate. Real depth and muscular, smoky fruit at the core. Concentrated but retaining refreshing acidity, this is big and bold but finely balanced.”
